CARBER CARVES THROUGH FIELD TO TAKE IMW PASSING MASTER LEAD
By: Richie Murray – USAC Media
Putnamville, Indiana (June 10, 2021)………USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget Rookie Brian Carber has been a forward thinking driver throughout USAC Indiana Midget Week, passing the most total cars throughout the eight-race series thus far entering Thursday’s June 10 event at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Ind.
Carber (Lewisberry, Pa.) has advanced a total of 33 positions in the five IMW races run thus far, including nine more on Wednesday night at Circle City Raceway – five in the heat and four more in the feature – to lead the ProSource Indiana Midget Week standings with three races remaining, Thursday, June 10 at Lincoln Park; Friday, June 11 at Gas City; and Saturday’s June 12 finale at Kokomo.
ProSource has announced a $500 Passing Master bonus going to the USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget driver who advances the most total positions from his or her feature starting spot throughout the entirety of Indiana Midget Week June 3-12.
Passing Master points are accumulated via heat races, last chance races and feature events each night of IMW. Provisional starters each night, however, are ineligible to receive points for the positions advanced during the feature.
The top-five drivers in the IMW Passing Master standings are separated by a mere five points. Behind Carber are Lawrenceburg IMW winner, Sutter, California’s Logan Seavey (-2); Franklin, Indiana’s Emerson Axsom (-3); Paragon winner, San Jose, California’s Thomas Meseraull (-4); and Auckland, New Zealand’s Hayden Williams (-5).
Thursday’s Indiana Midget Week round at Lincoln Park Speedway will feature the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship and the Lincoln Park Sprint Cars.
Tickets and pit passes will also be sold at the gate where general admission tickets are $30, kids aged 10 and under are free. Pit passes are $35 with kids aged 10 and under are free.
Pits open at 4:30pm EDT with grandstands opening at 5pm, drivers meeting at 5:30pm and hot laps at 6pm.
