USAC’s 2017 Speed2 Midget calendar closes November 18 when the Western US Midgets return to The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Jesse Love IV leads both the Overall and Pavement series points entering the finale.
A pair of points races last weekend found Toni Breidinger and Love scoring feature wins at the “Bullring,” while Chad Labastie and Dan Cugini captured a pair of “non-points” winged Eastern events at Dominion Raceway in Spotsylvania, Va.
Love, of Menlo Park, Calif., scored a last-lap win in Saturday’s “Senator’s Cup Fall Classic” at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Annie Breidinger led the first 29 laps and finished second ahead of Toni Breidinger, Cody Jessop and Joey Iest.
Toni Breidinger of Hillsborough, Calif. scored an all-time USAC female feature victory record 14th win Friday night at Las Vegas. She led the final eight laps after passing Love in a race featuring four different lap leaders. Love finished second ahead of Annie Breidinger, Jessop and Iest.
