USAC LIGHTNING SPRINTS POINTS UPDATE: Oct. 24, 2017

USAC LIGHTNING SPRINTS POINTS UPDATE: Oct. 24, 2017

The RMLSA completed their final race marking the end of an inaugural season hosting USAC events. The last race at I-76 brought a stout twenty car field and allowed Johnny Boos to break the top four in National points standings. The MMSA did much of the same at Tri-State Speedway closing their season with fourteen USAC sanctioned events completed and three drivers currently in the pay positions for the USAC Night of Champions in Indianapolis this December.

Three clubs have now wrapped up their season and will wait for the CLS to finish the last two events. Six drivers with the CLS have an opportunity to advance up the points ladder. Ventura this weekend and Bakersfield next month.

Remaining race counts by club are:

MLS: Season complete

MMSA: Season complete

RMLSA: Season complete

CLS: 2 races remaining

The 10 best finishes of a drivers first 12 races count toward their final points tally. Seven drivers have their points locked with twelve races completed.
