COOMES FROM LAST TO FIRST AT CONCORD!!

Concord, NC…….Eric Coomes of Concord, N.C. earned his first USAC feature in spectacular fashion Wednesday night at Concord Motorsports Park. He required a push-start, sending him to the rear of the field for the start, then proceeded to pass the entire field enroute to the 40-lap Carolina Ford Focus victory in his K & N Filters Special. He passed Rick Fedrizzi on lap 32 and led the final nine laps to beat series point leader Jeremy Frankoski, Fedrizzi, Michael Sboro and Chris Lamb. Coomes also was the night’s fastest qualifier.
