STAT BOOK: 2020 USAC NOS ENERGY DRINK NATIONAL MIDGETS

Speedway, Indiana (October 5, 2020)………Coming off a double-double weekend at the end of September, the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship are prepared for another double-dip this Friday night, October 9, at Wayne County Speedway in Wayne City, Ill. and Saturday night, October 10, at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind.
Chris Windom (Canton, Ill.) holds a slim eight-point lead in the series standings over defending champ Tyler Courtney (Indianapolis, Ind.). Windom won the most recent round at Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway while Courtney comes into the weekend as the reigning winner at Wayne City’s Jason Leffler Memorial and the winningest driver overall with the series in 2020, winning five times.
Windom’s Tucker-Boat Motorsports team leads the entrant standings by the same eight-point margin over Courtney’s Clauson-Marshall Racing team.
Tanner Thorson (Minden, Nev.) is third in the standings followed by leading Rookie Buddy Kofoid (Penngrove, Calif.).
Courtney leads all drivers with 177 laps led and five fast qualifying times this season. Windom, meanwhile, tops all drivers with 17 top-fives, and shares the lead in top-tens alongside Kofoid at 18 in 21 feature starts. Seven drivers have started all 21 feature events thus far: Cole Bodine (Rossville, Ind.), Tanner Carrick (Lincoln, Calif.), Courtney, Kofoid, Cannon McIntosh (Bixby, Okla.), Daison Pursley (Locust Grove, Okla.) and Windom.
Courtney and Windom are also tied at the top of the heat race wins list for the season at six with Cannon McIntosh.
On Friday at Wayne City, the 7th running of the Jason Leffler Memorial will also have the Non-Wing 600 Outlaws, Non-Wing Restrictors & Non-Wing Jr. Sprints on hand. Pits open at 3:30pm Central, grandstands at 5pm, drivers meeting at 5:30pm and hot laps at 6:30pm. General admission tickets are $25 with ages 12 and under are free. Pit passes are $40 apiece and $20 for age 10 and under $20
On Saturday at Tri-State, Harvest Cup will also include MSCS Sprint Cars and MMSA Mini Sprints on the card. Pits open at 2:30pm Central, grandstands at 3:30pm, drivers meeting at 4:30pm and hot laps at 5:30pm. Adult general admission tickets are $25, students (age 13-18) are $20 and age 12 and under are free. Pit passes are $30 apiece.
