COTTLE ADDS TO ISW PROSOURCE PASSING MASTER LEAD
Kokomo, Indiana (July 25, 2020)………With 20 positions advanced over the past two nights, Shane Cottle has extended his lead in the ProSource Passing Master standings for the 33rd annual NOS Energy Drink Indiana Sprint Week entering Sunday night’s third round of the series at Lawrenceburg Speedway on July 26.
Cottle (Kansas, Ill.) made the advancement from his 14th starting spot to an 8th place finish Saturday night at Kokomo Speedway. That came one night following his charge from the 21st starting position to a 7th place result in Friday night’s USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car feature at Gas City I-69 Speedway.
With two of seven ISW rounds complete, Cottle holds the lead by a fairly commanding 11-point lead in the standings over Thomas Meseraull (San Jose, Calif.) and 12 positions over Justin Grant (Ione, Calif.), Chase Johnson (Penngrove, Calif.) and A.J. Hopkins (Brownsburg, Ind.) who are knotted up at eight.
At the end of the week, the driver who advances the most total positions from his or her feature starting spot throughout the entirety of ISW will receive $500 as the ProSource Passing Master. Provisional starters each night are ineligible to receive points toward the passing master total.
Indiana Sprint Week continues with round three of the series on Sunday, July 26 at Lawrenceburg Speedway. Advance ticket entry opens at 3pm ET with walk-up entry beginning at 4pm. Hot Laps are scheduled for a 6pm start with racing to immediately follow.
Tickets for all Indiana Sprint Week events are available, while supplies last, at www.usactickets.com. Adult general admission tickets for Lawrenceburg are $25 while kids age 7-12 are $7 and children age 6 and under are free. Pit passes are $30 apiece (all ages).
