USAC WSO GETS RACY ON THE RED DIRT SATURDAY
Meeker, Oklahoma (October 1, 2019)………USAC Wingless Sprints Oklahoma and Red Dirt Raceway meet again for the third time of 2019 this Saturday night, October 5, for round 11 of the season and the “Meeker 50.0,” a 50-lap main feature for the series at the racy dirt oval in Meeker, Okla.
Steven Shebester (Mustang, Okla.) and Johnny Kent (Kiefer, Okla.) each were victorious in the first two rounds of the season at Red Dirt in April and June, respectively.
Johnny Kent (Kiefer, Okla.) won the most recent round of the series in early September at Monarch Motor Speedway in Wichita Falls, Texas, and trails defending series champ Brett Wilson (Coweta, Okla.) by 41 points with just three races remaining in the 2019 season. Wilson won the night before Kent at Monarch to equal Kent in feature victories this season with two apiece.
Photographer Jeff Taylor has put up an extra $100 to the 50-lap feature winner this Saturday night. Furthermore, Red Dirt Raceway has graciously offered a $50 hard luck award.
Gates open Saturday at Red Dirt Raceway at 4pm Central with driver draw set to open at 4pm, drivers meeting at 4:45pm, hot laps at 5:10pm and racing at 6pm. Adult general admission tickets are $15. High School students and younger are $5 (must show student ID). Pit passes are $30.
