USAC WSO GRADY CHANDLER BENEFIT AUG. 16 AT CREEK COUNTY

Eighteen-year-old Grady Chandler was injured on lap 18 of the A main on July 26th at the USAC Wingless Sprints Oklahoma event at Creek County Speedway. As he was gaining ground on the leaders had an accident in turn 3 where he suffered a severe neck injury with fractures to the C1, 2, 3, 4 and crushing the C5.

Grady went through surgery on July 27th to repair the C5 and has been fighting the fight of his life since. He is numb from the chest down but has made incredible strides in just the very short time since injury.

He has moved his arms on command, even though slight, and we are extremely hopeful for his full recovery. Bob and Amy Henning Chandler, Grady's parents have been right by his side every step of the way and this is right where Grady wants them.

We will have snap-back Grady Chandler hats available for $20.00 and 100% of the profits will go to the Chandler family. Hats will be available for purchase as soon as they come off the press and at the August 16th race.

We will also be seeking A-man lap sponsors - cost is $50.00 per lap with $25.00 going to the lap leader and $25.00 going to the Chandler family with a 30 lap A main. We are also still looking at other ideas to add to the event, if you have and thoughts or suggestions, let us hear them. We only have about 2 weeks but will continue working diligently to make this all happen.

We will be asking all USAC WSO drivers to go into stands on intermission as well to pass helmets around to raise additional money for the family.
