EAST COAST SPRINTS CROSS OVER TO BRIDGEPORT SUNDAY

Swedesboro, New Jersey (May 21, 2019)………USAC Rapid Tire East Coast Sprint Cars are back in the groove at Bridgeport Speedway in Swedesboro, New Jersey this Sunday, May 26, for their first and only appearance on the 3/8-mile track this season.

Defending series champion Steven Drevicki of Reading, Pa. holds command of the standings following last Friday’s victory at Big Diamond Speedway, his second win of the season.  The following night, 2018 USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Rookie of the Year Timmy Buckwalter of Douglassville, Pa. scored his first career series win at Grandview Speedway.

Coleman Gulick won last year’s USAC East Coast Sprint visit to Bridgeport.  Drevicki took second in that one ahead of Ryan Godown, Joey Biasi and Eddie Strada.

Drevicki leads the standings by 28 over Chandler Leiby, followed by Strada (-39), Chris Allen, Jr. (-50) and Bill Unglert (-95) rounding out the top-five.

Big Block Modifieds and 602 Crates are also on the schedule along with the USAC East Coast Sprint Cars for Sunday at Bridgeport.
