USAC WINGLESS SPRINTS OKLAHOMA 2019 SCHEDULE RELEASED
Speedway, Indiana (January 4, 2019)………USAC Wingless Sprints Oklahoma has announced a 14-race slate at five different tracks in two different states for 2019.
The second season for the series under the USAC banner begins April 5 in Meeker, Okla. at Red Dirt Raceway, the first of three dates on the ¼-mile during the campaign with additional stops on August 24 and October 5.
Creek County Speedway is the most prevalent track on the docket with seven events on April 26, June 6, June 21, July 26, August 16, with the season concluding in grand style on a doubleheader weekend October 11-12 at the ¼-mile in Sapulpa, Okla.
Two visits to the 3/8-mile 81 Speedway in Park City, Kans. are in the cards for the series on May 25 and July 13. WSO makes one trip each to the 4/10-mile Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada, Okla. on June 29 and to the ¼-mile Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kans. on September 7.
Brett Wilson of Sapulpa captured the 2018 WSO title in an ultra-competitive season in which the top-three in the standings were separated by a mere 12 points in the final tally. Wilson won three features while Danny Smith won a series-high four. Craig Carroll, Matt Sherrell, Andrew Deal and Johnny Kent won one apiece.
