USAC RETURNS TO NATIONAL TV ON MAV-TV’S DIRTY 30 PROGRAM

USAC RETURNS TO TV THIS THURSDAY ON MAV-TV’S DIRTY 30 PROGRAM

The United States Auto Club returns to national television this week as the USAC Honda National Midget Championship event from Bloomington (Ind.) Speedway, originally recorded on June 12 during “Indiana Midget Week,” will be aired on MAVTV’s “Dirty 30” program.

The event from Bloomington will have two airings, first on Thursday, July 2 at 8:30am eastern with a repeat airing on Tuesday, July 7 at 4:30pm eastern on MAVTV.

A recap of all four nights of “Indiana Midget Week” featuring highlights from Gas City I-69 Speedway, Lincoln Park Speedway, Bloomington Speedway, and Lawrenceburg Speedway will air on Thursday, July 9 at 8:30am eastern with a second airing on Tuesday, July 14 at 4:30pm eastern on MAVTV.

The two episodes mark the USAC Honda National Midget series’ first appearance on national television since a 2008 event at Manzanita Speedway in Phoenix, Arizona, won by Darren Hagen.

“Dirty 30” is a 30-minute weekly TV show focusing on Sprint Car, Midget, and Silver Crown racing.  Eight USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car events aired on “Dirty 30” in 2014, but the series expands to USAC’s other national divisions in 2015 with broadcasts of the USAC Honda National Midgets as well as the USAC Silver Crown Series.

Thursday’s running of the annual “Sumar Classic” Silver Crown 100-lapper at the Terre Haute Action Track will be recorded and will air at a date and time yet to be determined on MAVTV.  It is the first time a Silver Crown Series event from the famed half-mile dirt track in Terre Haute, Ind. will air on national television and the first Silver Crown race broadcast on television since Jerry Coons, Jr. took the checkered flag in “The Copper on Dirt” Manzanita in February 2008.
