GENERATION NEXT “ROUND 2” THIS WEEKEND AT KIL-KARE
Round two of the 2009 USAC “Generation Next” tour unfolds this weekend at Kil-Kare Speedway in Xenia, Ohio. The track’s USAC racing heritage includes the second-ever USAC feature victory for a youthful A.J. Foyt in 1957.
The Xenia festivities and competition will be streamed live to the world both Saturday and Sunday on the USAC website (www.usacracing.com). The Miami Valley Quarter Midget Association will serve as the host club for the weekend.
“The USAC Generation Next tour is shaping up to be a who’s who in the world of .25-Midget racing,” says James Spink, USAC’s Developmental Racing Series Director. “Round 1 in Columbus produced exciting and competitive racing and this weekend’s event should be no different.”
The winner in each class will receive a distinctive USAC medal during the victory lane ceremonies at the conclusion of each day’s activity.
Over 100 entries are expected, including point leaders Hayden Wren (Junior Rookie), Kat Mathews (Senior Rookie), Mox Price (Junior Honda), Ross Rankine (Senior Honda and Light AA), Kyle Compton (Heavy Honda), Jeff Dunfee III (Junior Stock), Cooper Clouse (Senior Stock), Nathan McCauley (Light Mod), Gage Walker (Light World Formula and Light 160), Josh Daugherty (Heavy World Formula), Zach Miller (Heavy AA), Justen Garmenn (Heavy 160) and Adam Holbein (Half).
