CLOUSE TAKES 3, SWARTZ & KENDALL 2 IN BELLEVUE “DOWN & DIRTY” .25s



    Ohio pilots Copper Clouse and Craig Swartz and Michigan driver Austin Kendall starred in this past weekend’s USAC .25 “Down and Dirty” Round 3 at the Great Lakes Speedsports complex in Bellevue, Ohio near Toledo..

    Clouse, of Ohio City, won a pair of Light World Formula features and a Light 160 main event, while Swartz, of New Paris, won both Heavy World Formula features. Kendall, of Manchester, Mich., won features in Heavy Honda and Heavy 160.

    Other feature winners in the “Midwest Thunder Series” presented by the Northwest Ohio Quarter Midget Racing Association were Dustin Anderson of Fort Wayne, Ind. (Junior-Senior Rookie), Wesley Sargent of Kokomo, Ind. and Jacob Dolinar of Toledo, Ohio (Junior Honda), Jonathan Lesiecki of Lorraine, Ohio and Chase Dean of Springfield, Ohio (Senior Honda), Collin Penn of Avon Lake, OH (Heavy Honda), Ross Rankine of Willard, OH (Light 160) and Richie Streicher of Bluffton, Ohio.

    Streicher is the son of 1990 USAC National Midget Champion Mike Streicher.

Plans are in the works for more dirt .25 races in 2010. For more information regarding these events interested clubs are urged to contact USAC Developmental Series Director James Spink at the USAC  Office at 317 247-5151.

    The USAC .25 Midget contingent now prepares for the upcoming October 10-11 “Mini-Gateway Gold Cup” at Gateway International Raceway near St. Louis, the final event in USAC’s 2009 “Generation Next Tour.”
