3-RACE 2011 “MID-ATLANTIC” .25 MIDGET SERIES SET
A special three-race series in 2011 will result in the crowning of the inaugural USAC Mopar .25 Midget “Mid-Atlantic” champion.
Drivers must compete in all three races to be eligible for points and to earn year-end prizes and awards.
The series opens with USAC “Generation Next” events at Nashville, Tenn, March 25-27 and Salisbury, N.C. April 8-10, then concludes with a special event conducted by USAC Mopar .25 officials at Braselton, Ga. July 15-17.
The Nashville event is under the auspices of the Music City Quarter Midget Racing Association, while the North Carolina Quarter Midget Association is the host at Salisbury. The Braselton race is under the auspices of the Metro Atlanta Quarter Midget Association.
“This series will create some great competition for our Mid-Atlantic participante,” says USAC Developmental Racing Director James Spink. “We plan a similar series for our Southwest participants during 2011 as well.”
"We're looking foward to this series created by USAC and hoping for competition from across the country,” added MAQMA President J.L. Tullis. “It will be interesting to see who rises to the top from the mid-atlantic based series."
