USAC RACING SCHEDULE CHANGES ANNOUNCED

USAC RACING SCHEDULE CHANGES ANNOUNCED

USAC’s 2011 racing schedule has undergone some modifications in the past week.

The June 16 USAC Pavement Sprint race at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis, Ind. has been postponed to September 22. That leaves the July 1 race at Toledo (Ohio) Speedway up next for the AMSOIL Pavement Sprint Cars.

The USAC “tripleheader” program at Kil-Kare Speedway in Xenia, Ohio June 10 has been cancelled. In its place, the Mopar D1 Midgets will be competing on August 6 at the Grundy County Speedway in Morris, Ill., along with the Stars Midget Series, while no resolution has been reached in regards to rescheduling of the June 10 Ford Focus and Focus Young Guns events originally scheduled at Xenia.

In addition, USAC and the race organizers at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisc. are seeking an alternate date for the USAC Mopar National Midget races which were originally scheduled this weekend (May 14-15) but were postponed due to weather and expected cold temperatures at the 1/3-mile dirt oval. An announcement will be made regarding rescheduling when it becomes firm.
