WHITT WIRE-TO-WIRE IN IRWINDALE’S WESTERN SPRINT FINALE

Irwindale, CA…….Cole Whitt of Alpine, Calif. put his Red Bull/Ferguson Beast/Chevy in the lead at the drop of the green flag and proceeded to lead all the way to win Thursday night’s 40-lap USAC Western Sprint Car feature at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale. The race was part of the track’s 69th Lucas Oil Turkey Night Grand Prix program and Whitt was trailed at the checkered flag by Kody Swanson, Scott Pierovich, Tanner Swanson and Bobby East. Tanner Swanson is the 2009 USAC Western Sprint Car Champion, winning the title for the second consecutive year.
