SWANSONS POST SEVENTH 1-2 FINISH, AT MADERA!


Tanner Swanson of Kingsburg, Calif. put an exclamation mark on his 2009 USAC Western Sprint Car campaign Saturday night, leading brother Kody to the finish line in the 50-lap feature at Madera (Calif.) Speedway. The 1-2 finish was the seventh for the Swansons this season.


 


Tanner trailed Davey Hamilton for the first 18 laps, then led the rest of the way to beat Kody, fast qualifier Tony Hunt, Audra Sasselli and Scott Pierovich. Hamilton eventually finished seventh in the 50-lap race.


 


The series concludes November 26 as part of the 69th Annual Lucas Oil “Turkey Night Grand Prix” at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale (Calif.).
