VANDERWEERD TAKES 360 FINALE; STIDHAM CLAIMS SERIES TITLE

 


Tulare, CA……..Richard VanderWeerd of Visalia, Calif. won the 2010 USAC West Coast 360 Sprint Car series finale Saturday night at the Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway. Craig Stidham finished fourth and wrapped up the 2010 series championship in the process. VanderWeerd passed Rusty Carlile on lap four and led the rest of the way for the 30-lap win in his VanderWeerd Construction/Mid-Valley Pipe & Supply Maxim. Bud Kaeding took second ahead of Jace VanderWeerd, Stidham and Peter Murphy. A special event non-points race is slated for the West Coast 360s at Giant Speedway in Hanford, Calif. October 16.
