SWANSON WIRE-TO-WIRE IN SALT LAKE CITY 40-LAPPER


Mike Murgoitio holds a 29-point lead in the latest USAC Young Automotive Rocky Mountain Sprint standings after his second-place feature finish Monday night at Rocky Mountain Raceways in Salt Lake City, Utah.


 


Kody Swanson of Kingsburg, Calif. led all 40 laps in his TK Motorsports entry Monday night to win the feature event at the 3/8-mile paved oval. Series point leader Murgoitio finished second ahead of defending series champion JoJo Helberg and former series champions Jim Waters and Ryan Burdett. Brian McClish was Monday’s fastest qualifier.


 


The series continues June 6 at the Salt Lake City oval.
