USAC NOS ENERGY DRINK MIDGET NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT
Formats may be altered from base formats listed here at the discretion of the chief steward
QUALIFICATIONS
No qualifying.
HEAT RACES
8 laps. Heat race lineups will be based on the finishing order of Friday’s event. Friday night’s feature winner will receive the one seed with the second-place finisher getting the second seed, and so on. For Saturday, those seeds, in essence, will act as the official qualifying time.
The number one seed will line up in the 6th position of Saturday’s heat race one and the number two seed will line up in the 6th position of heat race two, and so forth. From there on, the “traditional” USAC format for a three heat race format will take over with the top-six transferring/getting their qualifying time back from each of the three heat races, etc.
HEAT #1:
4 Heats: Cars seeded 1, 5, 9, 13, 17, 21 will start in inverted order. Cars seeded 25, 29, and so on will start behind invert.

SEMI-FEATURE: (If Needed)
12 laps. The 14 seeded cars that did not transfer through the heat races will line up straight-up in the semi-feature event. Finishers 1-6 earn a spot in the feature event if 4 heats were held. Finishers 1-7 earn a spot in the feature event if 3 heats were held.
FEATURE:
25 laps. The fastest top-six “seeds” who transfer through the heats will occupy the first three rows of Saturday’s feature, followed by heat race winners, then the balance of the field based on their seeds, to set the starting lineup. 24 starting cars (not including earned provisionals).
