MAY 16 CRA RACE AT KINGS SPEEDWAY POSTPONED
Officials of Kings Speedway in Hanford, Calif. and USAC have postponed the scheduled May 16 Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint race at the 3/8-mile dirt oval due to motorsports scheduling conflicts in central California. A replacement date is being sought and will be announced when determined.
Kings Speedway will host a USAC “tripleheader” program that night, featuring the Western Midgets, California Dirt Ford Focus Midgets and Junior Focus Midgets.
The track has a rich USAC history dating back to 1986 when Robby Flock was USAC’s first winner in a 30-lap Midget race.
The Kings Speedway postponement leaves the May 23 “Salute to Indy” at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway as the next event on the 2009 Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint car calendar.
