THE MASTER: COTTLE ADVANCES 33 TO WIN INDIANA SPRINT WEEK’S PROSOURCE PASSING TITLE

Speedway, Indiana (July 31, 2022)………Shane Cottle not only captured a feature victory during his USAC NOS Energy Drink Indiana Sprint Week run, he also advanced a series-leading 33 positions in feature events throughout the week.

Those performances earned the Kansas, Ill. driver the ProSource Indiana Sprint Week Passing Master Award for the series.

Cottle advanced the most total positions from his original starting spot throughout the entirety of ISW and, thus, received a $500 bonus for his efforts.

He charged from 10th to 1st to win on the final lap in the ISW opener at Gas City.  He followed that performance up by passing a week-high 15 cars while moving from 22nd to 7th at Circle City.  Cottle finished up with a plus-three at Kokomo and garnered six more at Bloomington.

In the finale at Tri-State, Cottle took a mighty tumble during qualifying, which prevented him from adding on to his tally and, instead, required a observation from medical personnel from which he was promptly treated and released.
