GRANT BOLSTERS USAC INDIANA SPRINT WEEK POINT LEAD ENTERING PUTNAMVILLE THURSDAY

Speedway, Indiana (July 27, 2022)………Justin Grant added to his USAC NOS Energy Drink Indiana Sprint Week point lead in grand fashion during Tuesday night’s round at Kokomo Speedway.
His victory at Kokomo propelled him to a 43-point lead entering Thursday night’s round number five at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville.
In the three features run thus far throughout ISW, the Ione, Calif. native hasn’t finished outside the top-two following runner-up results at both Gas City and Circle City.
With three ISW events remaining in the 35th annual edition of the series, Grant leads over Rocklin, California’s Robert Ballou (-43), Fort Branch, Indiana’s Chase Stockon (-44), Circle City winner C.J. Leary from Greenfield, Ind. (-52) and Princeton, Indiana’s Kyle Cummins (-65).
A $23,000 total purse is on the line for the top-eight in the final standings of the eight-race tour throughout the Hoosier state. The ISW champion will collect a $10,000 reward. A payout of $5,000 goes to second, $2,500 for third, $1,500 for fourth, $1,250 for fifth, $1,100 for sixth, $900 for seventh and $750 for eighth.
USAC Indiana Sprint Week will continue with round five on Thursday night, July 28, at Putnamville’s Lincoln Park Speedway featuring the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship.
Thursday at Lincoln Park, the pits and front gates open at 4:30pm with the drivers meeting at 6pm and hot laps at 6:30pm, followed immediately by qualifying and racing.
General admission grandstand tickets at Lincoln Park are $30. Kids 10 and under are free. Pit passes are $30 for members, $35 for non-members and free for kids 10 and under.
