Rickie Gaunt of Torrance, Calif. won Saturday night's 30-lap "Sokola Shootout" USAC National and Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint race at the Perris Auto Speedway. Driving the Black Widow Racing/DWT Wheels Sled/Downing, he passed Dustin Morgan on lap six and led the final 25 laps for the victory. Brad Sweet finished second ahead of Tracy Hines, fast qualifier Jerry Coons Jr. and Damion Gardner. Cole Whitt finished seventh and holds the point leader going into the March 28 USAC/CRA race at Perris and the April 10 National race at Rossburg, Ohio.
