CRUM SWEEPS USAC REGIONAL MIDGET SHOW AT KOKOMO

Kokomo, Indiana (August 28, 2021)………Chance Crum swept the evening, setting fast qualifying time, winning his heat race, then charging to victory in the 20-lap USAC Midwest Regional Midget feature Saturday night at Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway.
Crum (Snohomish, Wash.) chased down racelong leader Chase McDermand (Springfield, Ill.) on the 13th lap. He then charged away during the final seven laps to score his fourth win in the last five series races in his Rudeen Racing/Rayce Rudeen Foundation – Hager Realty Services/Spike/Speedway Toyota.
Following Crum to the finish line were McDermand, Hayden Reinbold (Gilbert, Ariz.), Jack Routson (Waterman, Ill.) and Mitchell Davis (Auburn, Ill.).
Point leader Chett Gehrke (Broken Arrow, Okla.) finished sixth while championship contender Bryan Stanfill (Bakersfield, Calif.) suffered mechanical issues and fell back to 11th in the final rundown after running fifth at the midway point.
