Bloomington, Indiana (July 30, 2021)………Thursday night’s round of USAC NOS Energy Drink Indiana Sprint Week by AMSOIL at Lincoln Park Speedway provided us with fireworks in the air, fireworks on the ground, lightning in the sky and thunder all around.

It also featured a major shakeup in the race for the Indiana Sprint Week championship entering the penultimate round, race number six of seven, for the series on Friday night, July 30m at Bloomington Speedway.  The ISW finale is scheduled for Saturday, July 31 at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind.

Brady Bacon (Broken Arrow, Okla.) had practically led the entirety of Indiana Sprint Week with four-straight top-five finishes in the first four races.  At Lincoln Park, however, he was unable to start the feature due to a mag issue, which sidelined him with a 22nd place finish.

The precipitous drop moved Bacon from first all the way down to fourth in the standings.  As a result, Lawrenceburg, Gas City and Terre Haute winner Logan Seavey (Sutter, Calif.) elevated to first place in the ISW standings by a 15-point margin over Lincoln Park winner Tanner Thorson (Minden, Nev.).

Cullman, Alabama’s Kevin Thomas Jr. is third (-22) while Bacon is now 30 out of the lead in fourth.  Kokomo winner Justin Grant (Ione, Calif.) holds down the fifth spot (-33).

Friday’s NOS Energy Drink Indiana Sprint Week by AMSOIL round six / Sheldon Kinser Memorial at Bloomington Speedway features the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship competing for a $6,000 top prize.  DIRTcar UMP Modifieds are also on the event card.

General admission tickets are $30 with ages 10 and under free.  Pit passes are $35 for members, $30 for non-members & $15 for age 10 and under.

Pits open at 4pm EDT with grandstands opening at 5pm, drivers meeting at 5:30pm and hot laps at 6:30pm.

Every lap of all seven USAC NOS Energy Drink Indiana Sprint Week by AMSOIL races will be aired live on FloRacing at https://bit.ly/2ZpafUr.
