CRA’s “SALUTE TO INDY” SATURDAY AT PERRIS


Mike Spencer’s bid for a record third consecutive AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Car championship continues Saturday when Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway hosts its traditional “Salute to Indy,” which includes USAC Ford Focus, Young Guns, Lightning Sprint and California Lightning Sprint competition.


 


Matt Mitchell won last year’s “Salute to Indy,” to date his only series triumph. He is currently fifth in the series standings.


 


Spencer holds a 12-point lead over Danny Sheridan in the 2010 standings. Spencer won at Perris on March 27, while Sheridan’s best USAC/CRA finish this season was a second to Greg Bragg in the most recent series race, at Perris.


 


Bragg‘s victory at The PAS on April 10 was his first in series competition.


 


Saturday’s Perris program also includes the USAC Western Ford Focuses and Young Guns.
