4-IN-A-ROW FOR CARDEY AT THE PAS

 


Mike Spencer continues to hold the lead in the 2010 AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Car series standings after finishing second in last Saturday night’s 30-lap race at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway.


 


The series travels to Santa Maria, Calif. Augsut14 for its only 2010 appearance at the Santa Maria Speedway. Danny Sheridan is second in the standings entering the Santa Maria race.


 


David Cardey of Riverside, Calif. wheeled his Circle Track Performance Viper/Picks machine to victory in Saturday night’s 30-lap AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint race at Perris. The win was his fourth in a row at the half-mile dirt oval, matching the feat accomplished by Tony Jones in 2008. He trailed Spencer for the first 24 laps, then led the final six to win over Spencer, Cory Kruseman, Blake Miller and Nic Faas. Matt Mitchell posted the fastest qualifying time.
