CRA CHAMP SPENCER GRABS “VERMEIL CLASSIC” FINALE

Calistoga, CA…….Defending Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint Car Champion Mike Spencer of Temecula, Calif. won Sunday night’s 30-lap “Louie Vermeil Classic” Sprint race at Calistoga Speedway. He grabbed the lead on lap 26 and led the final five laps in his Grubstake Storage/Madera Produce Maxim/Shaver. Saturday night’s feature winner, Kevin Swindell, finished second, followed by Josh Ford, Danny Sheridan and Shane Golobic. Swindell led the first six laps and Hockett led the next 19. USAC/CRA point leader David Cardey finished 10th.
