CLAUSON WIRE-TO-WIRE IN 25-LAP “BUDWEISER OVAL NATIONALS” OPENER
Perris, CA…….Bryan Clauson of Noblesville, Ind. led all 25 laps to win Thursday night’s 14th “Budweiser Oval Nationals” preliminary feature at the Perris Auto Speedway. He piloted the Parker Stone Company/Gaerte Engines Maxim to his ninth victory in USAC competition this season. “It’s a great way to start off the week,” said Clauson in victory lane. Jon Stanbrough finished a close second ahead of National point leader Levi Jones, Damion Gardner and Rip Williams. USAC/CRA point leader Mike Spencer finished seventh. The “Budweiser Oval Nationals” continues at Perris Friday and Saturday nights.
