RADICAL SPEED2 MIDGETS OPEN WITH LAKE HAVASU WEEKEND DOUBLE
Lake Havasu, Arizona (March 18, 2021)………A special two-night event opens the 2021 season for the USAC Radical Focus SpeeD2 Midgets this Friday and Saturday, March 19-20, at Havasu 95 Speedway in Lake Havasu, Arizona.
While the pair of races will mark the first two points-paying events for the Radical series, the events will also be non-points special events for the USAC Eastern SpeeD2 Midgets.
Four-time and defending Eastern series champ Jessica Bean (Farmland, Ind.) swept both events at Havasu 95 in November 2020. With one more victory, Bean would become the winningest female driver in USAC history. She is currently tied at 19 alongside Toni Breidinger.
Joseph Holiday (Madera, Calif.) won twice last season with the Radical series and comes in as the defending champion.
On Friday night, March 19, the SpeeD2 Midgets are joined by Vintage Midgets & Sprints, Legends and Bandoleros. Admission is FREE for spectators. Gates open at 5:30pm MST while racing starts at 6pm.
On Saturday night, March 20, the second day of the event will be presented by Carquest featuring SpeeD2 Midgets, Vintage Midgets & Sprints, Legends, Bandoleros and Sam Nichols Electrical Factory Stocks. Gates open at 4pm MST with racing slated for a 6pm start.
