CLAUSON RUNS DOWN WINDOM IN KOKOMO THRILLER

Kokomo, IN…….Bryan Clauson of Noblesville, Ind. caught Chris Windom on the white-flag lap and went on to victory in Sunday night’s 30-lap USAC AMSOIL National Sprint race at the Kokomo Speedway. He trailed Windom for the first 28 laps in his Rotondo Weirich/Benic Enterprises Maxim/Gaerte Chevy, then led the last two laps around the quarter-mile dirt oval to beat Windom, Henry Clarke, Jerry Coons Jr. and Levi Jones. Coons shaved Damion Gardner’s point lead to just 12 points as Gardner finished 19th. The next AMSOIL National Sprint race is May 1 at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Ind.
