USAC DMA MIDGETS READY FOR 12 RACES IN 2021
The USAC Dirt Midget Association will once again make Bear Ridge Speedway their home track in 2021 with 10 races from May to September forming the foundation of a solid schedule of 12 confirmed races with the possibility of additional race dates being added.
Bear Ridge Speedway is a ¼-mile dirt track located in Bradford, Vermont that produces excellent racing and the DMA is excited to once again have the opportunity to race there in 2021.
Albany-Saratoga Speedway will also return with two race dates in 2021. Albany-Saratoga is a 4/10-mile dirt track in Malta, New York. Last season’s race at Malta featured a three-way battle for the win between Will Hull, Justin Phillips and Seth Carlson. The DMA looks forward to racing at Malta once again.
Discussions have also been held with the Flat Track at New Hampshire Motor Speedway about a return to that speedway. The DMA has also spoken with the new dirt track in Londonderry, N.H. and also with the new Victory Speedway at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Middletown, N.Y. about races at those facilities. Stay tuned for future announcements regarding those potential races.
The duo of Seth Carlson and Will Hull won all eight of the features in 2020 with Carlson winning five times and the championship. Both will return in 2021 with the Skip Matczak team. They will be joined by Tim West in a third Matczak car. The team is also putting together a fourth car.
Ray Miller Racing was right on the heels of the top two with Justin Phillips, Joe Krawiec, Brandon Piastka and Justin Sheridan all having solid years. The Miller team is returning all four drivers with Piastka taking over the #69, re-numbered to #7 that Dean Christensen drove to a series championship.
Wayne Koehler and his wife Patricia make the 219-mile one-way trip from Jewett, NY each race and will return in 2021. Manny Dias will be back in his own #42. Others confirming a return are Jeff Champagne and Mike Netishen.
New teams for 2021 will be Adrian Tetreault of Rumney, N.H. in a car owned by his wife Becky Tetreault, Dylan Campbell and Nick Boivin. J.R. Mancini will also be running a new team with a yet to be named driver.
