LEMKE GRABS WESTERN OVERALL AND PAVEMENT SPEED2 MIDGET TITLES
Adam Lemke of Hollister, Calif. captured both the 2018 USAC Western Speed2 Midget Overall and Pavement championships last weekend as the series came to a close with back-to-back events at The Bullring at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway.
Lemke opened the series with six consecutive wins and added another before the season ended. Toni Breidinger closed out the series with five consecutive wins!
Breidinger, of Hillsborough, Calif., extended her all-time leading list of female USAC feature wins to 19 with the Las Vegas triumphs. On Friday she passed Lemke on lap 17 and led the final 14 laps to beat Dillon Tucker, Joey Iest, Lemke and Cody Jessop. Saturday, she led all 30 laps to beat Iest, Cody Jessop, Tucker and Kylie Ith.
