SPEED2 MIDGETS HEAD FOR CAROLINAS, NEVADA AND ILLINOIS
The USAC Speed2 Midgets will compete in events in South and North Carolina, Nevada and Illinois this week, including the opening race for the IMRA series.
Friday night’s race at Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, S.C. serves as round two for the Eastern series, while the series continues the following night at Hickory (N.C.) Motor Speedway.
IMRA kicks off its 2018 Speed2 campaign on Sunday with a race at Quincy (Illinois) Speedway and the Bullring at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway hosts round two of the Western series Saturday night.
Adam Lemke is the 2018 Western series leader after his victory March 31 at Madera (Calif.) Speedway, while Jake Garcia leads the Eastern contingent to this week’s two events after winning the March 31 opener at Kenly, N.C.
Dillon Morley emerged as the 2017 champion of the IMRA series which begins Sunday at Quincy.
