USAC LIGHTNING SPRINTS UPDATE: 8/29/2017
Four groups in three different regions completed races over the weekend. One each for the Midwest Lightning Sprints, Midwest Mini Sprint Association, and California Lightning Sprints. The Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprint Association completed two sanctioned events playing catchup for previous rain outs. This tightens the points race as the RMLSA carried a 22-car average for both races maximizing the points earned by their competitors.
Now with two groups surpassing the 10-race threshold the individual points totals begin to mature. The final points tally will include the best 10 finishes of the first twelve starts. Completed event totals stand at:
MLS: 11 races
MMSA: 11 races
