MIDGETS AT BEAR RIDGE (DMA), MONTPELIER (MTM) & SPOON RIVER (IMRA); ALLISON (MTM) & McDERMAND (IMRA) SCORE INITIAL USAC WINS
USAC’s DMA, Midwest Thunder and IMRA Midgets are all in action this Saturday. Adam Pierson leads the DMA Midgets back to Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, Vt. and Gage Etgen leads the Midwest Thunder Midgets back to Montpelier (Ind.) Motor Speedway. Jeff Mallonee remains atop the IMRA standings entering Saturday’s “Kids Candy Dash Night” at Spoon River Speedway in Canton, Ill.
Chase McDermand of Springfield, Ill. earned his initial USAC IMRA Midget feature victory Saturday night at 34 Raceway in Burlington, Iowa. He passed Andy Baugh on the white-flag lap and led to the checkered to take the 15-lap win. Baugh was second ahead of Hunter Lane, Brent Burrows and Jeff Mallonee.
Kobe Allison of Lima, Ohio led all 20 laps to win Saturday night’s USAC Midwest Thunder Midget Series feature at Waynesfield (Ohio) Raceway Park. Ty Tilton, Brad Racer, Chris Whipple and Chris Bounds rounded out the “top-five” at the checkered flag.
