MTM AT MONTPELIER; IMRA AT CANTON; DMA AT BEAR RIDGE; MALLONEE #1 AT 34; PIERSON TAKES ALBANY-SARATOGA
USAC Midget racing occurs on three fronts aside from this week’s National races in Arkansas. Saturday races are slated at Montpelier (Ind.) Motor Speedway (Midwest Thunder Midgets), Spoon River Speedway in Canton, Ill. (IMRA Midgets) and Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, Vt. (DMA Midgets).
Jeff Mallonee of Davenport, Iowa won Saturday night’s USAC IMRA Midget feature at 34 Raceway. He led all 10 laps to beat Jake Sollenberger, Dave Anderson and Travis Pence. Mallonee takes a sizeable 133-point lead over Jake Sollenberger into this Saturday’s race at Spoon River.
Josh Sunn and Adam Pierson will try to unlock their tie atop the DMA Midget standings in this Saturday’s race at Bear Ridge.
Gage Etgen leads the Midwest Thunder Midgets to Saturday’s race at Montpelier. He has a 12-point lead over Alex Watson in the current standings.
