CALIFORNIA & OHIO HOST HPDs THIS WEEK;

BEAN TAKES KALAMAZOO FEATURE

USAC’s Western HPD Midget series sees action this week with a race at Bakersfield, Calif, while the Midwest HPD Midget series visits a pair of Ohio tracks in Jackson and Waverly.

Cody Jessop (overall) and Dylan Nobile (pavement) lead the Western competitors at Saturday’s race at Kern County Raceway Park in Bakersfield, Calif. Jacob Stickle stands atop the Midwest standings with races Friday at Jackson (Ohio) County Speedway and Saturday at Atomic Speedway in Waverly, Ohio.

Jessica Bean of Farmland, Ind. led all 35 laps to win Saturday night’s USAC Eastern/Midwest HPD Midget feature at Kalamazoo (Mich.) Speedway. She was trailed by Carson Hocevar, Sam Hatfield, Nolan Allison and Jake Nelke.

The Eastern HPD Midgets resume action September 11 at Ace Speedway in Altamahaw, N.C.
