HPDs HEAD FOR RALEIGH, CARAWAY & VENTURA;

NOBILE WINS MADERA’S “GERHARDT CLASSIC”

USAC HPD racing this week occurs in the Eastern and Western series. Friday’s eastern race is at Wake County Speedway in Raleigh, N.C. and Saturday’s Eastern race is at Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, N.C. The Western series visits Ventura (Calif.) Raceway Saturday.

Dylan Nobile of Clovis, Calif. scored his seventh USAC Western HPD Midget victory of the year and fourth in a row Saturday night, winning the 30-lap “Gerhardt Classic” main event at Madera Speedway. He caught Tom Paterson on lap 27 and led the final four laps to beat Cody Jessop, Paterson, Tommy McCarthy and Toni Breidinger.

Jessop sits atop the Western HPD standings while Shawn Buckley is the leader in the Western Dirt points. Chris Lamb is the leader in the Eastern standings heading into this weekend’s races.
