BELL GRABS CARAWAY 35-LAPPER, SATURDAY POSTPONED TO SUNDAY

Sophia, NC……..Honda USAC National Midget Champion Christopher Bell of Norman, Okla. captured Friday night’s 35-lap USAC Eastern HPD Midget feature at Caraway Speedway. He passed Calvin Carroll on lap 18 and led the rest of the way for the win driving one of the Lamb entries. Fast qualifier Blaine Leydig finished second ahead of Jessica Bean, series point leader Scott Hunter and Nikki Carroll. Hunter led the first 14 laps and Carroll led three before yielding to Bell. Saturday night’s scheduled race has been postponed to Sunday at Caraway due to forecasted rains in the area.
