WESTERN IGNITES OPEN AT HAVASU 95 SATURDAY
 
The 2013 USAC Western Ignite Midget Series debuts this Saturday night at Havasu 95 Speedway in Lake Havasu, Ariz. It’s the first of 11 races scheduled for the pavement portion of the 2013 calendar.
 
Saturday’s race is the first for USAC’s Ignite Midgets at Lake Havasu in two years. Ross Rankine, USAC’s 2012 Midwest Ignite Champion, was the 2011 winner.
 
Garrett Peterson of West Sacramento, Calif. and Bryant Dawson of Phoenix, Ariz. won 2012 USAC Western Ignite pavement titles, Peterson the California North titlist and Dawson the Las Vegas champ.
