LAS VEGAS IGNITES CONCLUDE NOVEMBER 17; FANELLI SWEEPS LVMS BULLRING “DOUBLEHEADER”
 
Bryant Dawson of Phoenix, Ariz. hopes to close out the 2012 USAC Las Vegas Ignite Midget championship November 17 when the series concludes at the LVMS Bullring. The finale was slated after races November 2 and 3 at LVMS were removed from the calendar.
 
Rio Rancho, N.M. driver Michael Fanelli of Phoenix swept both ends of the “doubleheader” at the 3/8-mile paved oval. Fanelli passed Christine Breckenridge on lap seven of Friday night’s 30-lapper and led the rest of the way, then paced all 30 laps of Saturday’s feature. Dawson finished second and third in the two races.
 
Trailing Fanelli and Dawson on Friday were Jeff Kelley, Breckenridge and Cody Mansfield. Saturday’s feature saw fast qualifier Jake Swanson take second ahead of Dawson, Breckenridge and Mansfield.
