SALT LAKE CITY & STOCKTON FOCUS RACES RAINED OUT


USAC’s Midwest and California Pavement Ford Focus series resume action this weekend after rain forced a pair of rainouts last Saturday.


 


Races at Rocky Mountain Raceways in Salt Lake City, Utah and Stockton (Calif.) 99 Speedway were cancelled due to weather. The Utah Auto Trader Ford Focus Series resumes May 16 in the Utah capital.


 


Eric Gunderson of San Diego, Calif. is the current point leader in the California Pavement standings, nine points ahead of Cody Gerhardt going into Saturday’s race at the Madera (Calif.) Speedway where the USAC Western Midgets share billing.


 


Joe Liguori of Tampa, Fla. Leads the USAC Midwest Ford Focus standings going into this Friday night’s “tripleheader” at the Anderson (Ind.) Speedway. He’s eight points ahead of Jimmy Simpson. The USAC Regional Midgets and Kenyon Midgets share the Anderson program.
