TRIO EYE CALIFORNIA DIRT FOCUS FINALE SATURDAY; BLYTHE VICTORY EXTENDS MIILLE'S PAVEMENT LEAD

Alex Bowman, Walt Johnson and Nick Carlson are set to battle for the 2008 USAC California Dirt Ford Focus Championship in Saturday night's finale at the Ventura Raceway. Bowman leads Johnson by only two points, with Carlson 29 back. A total of 74 points are available.

Bowman, of Tucson, Ariz., slipped to 35 points behind Ian Miille in the new California Pavement Ford Focus standings after last Saturday night's race at Lucas Oil I-10 Speedway in Blythe. Miille, of Pleasanton, Calif., led the final nine laps of Saturday night's 25-lapper in which Bowman finished second. Jeff Oleen, Brennan Newberry and Jake Swanson rounded out the ̢
