FOCUS POINT LEADER ROMANO TRIUMPHS AT STOCKTON

Stockton, CA…….Series point leader Nik Romano of Atherton, Calif. won Saturday night’s 40-lap USAC California Pavement Ford Focus feature at the Stockton 99 Speedway in his Ron Sutton’s Winners Circle entry, leading the final 28 laps after passing Alex Bowman for the lead on lap 13. Romano was also the fastest qualifier and was trailed at the checkered flag. By Bowman, Cody Gerhardt, Michael J. Lewis and Garrett Peterson. Romano is now 57 points ahead of Gerhardt in the standings going into an October 24 race at Madera, Calif.  The victory was Romano's first in the series after eight 2009 runner-up finishes!
