LARSON LEADS IMW POINTS BY 28 WITH 2 TO GO
Putnamville, Indiana (June 19, 2020)………Kyle Larson finished second in Friday night's USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget feature at Lincoln Park Speedway, yet still extended his point lead in the Indiana Midget Week series from 10 to 28 with two rounds to go Saturday at Lawrenceburg Speedway and Sunday at Kokomo Speedway.
Tanner Thorson is still within earshot of Larson, but saw a 15-point swing go against him when his car went up in smoke on the final corner of the final lap, dropping him from 2nd to 7th at the finish.
Chris Windom moved into third with Friday’s victory at Lincoln Park, 50 points behind leader Larson. Buddy Kofoid is fourth, also 50 points behind Larson. Tanner Carrick is fifth, trailing Larson by 83.
Saturday at Lawrenceburg for round 5 of IMW, the pits open at 3pm Eastern, grandstands at 5pm and hot laps at 6pm.
