KUNZ BRINGING 6 BULLETS TO PORT CITY MAY 22-23
Tulsa, Oklahoma (May 16, 2020)……..Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports has announced its intention of bringing six drivers and Bullet by Spike/Speedway Toyotas to compete in the inaugural Werco Manufacturing T-Town Showdown presented by B & H Contractors May 22-23 at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The lineup will include full-time USAC competitors, Oklahomans Cannon McIntosh (Bixby) in the No. 71K and USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget Rookie of the Year contender Daison Pursley (Locust Grove) in No. 9, along with fellow Rookie contender Buddy Kofoid of Penngrove, Calif. in the No. 67.
McIntosh finished in the top-five at both Ocala, Fla. races in February and resides sixth in the standings while Kofoid is fourth in points after three top-seven finishes and Pursley eighth in the standings with three top-nine finishes in three races to his credit.
Joining the lineup for the T-Town Midget Showdown are first-time series competitors Jesse Love Jr. of Menlo Park, Calif. in No. 97, plus Kaylee Bryson (Muskogee, Okla.) in No. 71 and Presley Truedson (Kennedy, Minn.) in No. 71x.
Love, a six-time USAC champion in the developmental HPD midget ranks (2015 Western Restricted, 2016 Overall & Dirt, 2017 Overall, Dirt & Pavement), drove for KKM in a number of midget events last year, but next weekend’s Port City event will mark his USAC National Midget debut for the team.
Port City Micro veteran Kaylee Bryson (Muskogee, Okla.), like Love, gained midget experience outside of USAC in 2019. She did so for Dave Mac Motorsports, and in early 2020, for KKM, while Presley Truedson (Kennedy, Minn.), has previously driven for the Daum Motorsports Midget team with USAC in recent years and made her KKM debut at this past January’s Chili Bowl.
Both nights at Port City will include full series points-paying events with a complete program each night that culminates with a feature event. Spectator gates open at 5pm Central with hot laps scheduled for 6pm. A practice night on Thursday, May 21, will precede the event.
Seating capacity for the T-Town Midget Showdown will be limited to 400 spectators per night and tickets for each night can only be purchase in advance. Tickets are now on sale at https://usacracing.ticketspice.com/2020-t-town-midget-showdown.
