PURSLEY DOES IT AGAIN WITH USAC IRACING TRIUMPH AT THE GROVE
Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania (April 16, 2020)………Daison Pursley dominated the night, but had to hold off one last-ditch slider by Aiden Purdue on the final corner of the last lap to emerge victorious in Thursday’s USAC AMSOIL iRacing Challenge Presented by NOS Energy Drink Midget feature at Williams Grove Speedway.
It turned into a battle of last week’s USAC iRacing winners at the end of the yellow-flag-plagued 30-lap event. Locust Grove, Oklahoma's Pursley, a 2020 USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget Rookie of the Year contender for Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports, was the winner of last Saturday’s $2,020-to-win AME Electrical Saturday Night Lightning FALS Invitational at Fairbury American Legion Speedway.
Meanwhile, Purdue was the winner of the most recent USAC iRacing Challenge event in a sprint car at Knoxville Raceway for Clauson-Marshall Racing.
Pursley took home the $500 winner’s share, while Purdue pocketed $300 for second and 2019 USAC Western States Midget champion Robert Dalby grabbed third worth $100 thanks to series sponsors to sponsors TOPP Motorsports, Hayward Motorsports, Petry Motorsports and Baldwin Brothers Racing.
Austin Yarbrough took fourth while Chris Windom, a 2016 Silver Crown winner and 2018 AMSOIL National Sprint Car victor with USAC at Williams Grove, rounded out the top-five.
