APPROVED MUFFLER LIST FOR TURKEY NIGHT GRAND PRIX AT VENTURA
For the upcoming “Turkey Night Grand Prix” featuring the USAC National/Western States Midgets and USAC West Coast Sprint Cars at Ventura (Calif.) Raceway, competitors must comply with muffler rules in order to compete in the 76th running of the prestigious event.
Ventura Raceway has one of the toughest sound rules in California, mainly due to its close proximity to downtown Ventura and many multi-million dollar homes.
For the upcoming event on Wednesday/Thursday, Nov. 23-24, both the Midget and West Coast Sprint Car competitors must run mufflers.
For the Midgets, Ventura Raceway is adhering to the muffler rules in place for the Western States Midget Series. For the Sprint Cars, the track has a muffler list for their local series and it has been followed by both the USAC/CRA and the USAC West Coast groups.
Failure to comply with the muffler rule will risk disqualification from the event.
